HAWC's outreach programs ensure that services are accessible to all
women who need them. We have outreach offices in Gloucester, Lynn and Ipswich,
as well as on-site advocates in Salem Hospital and Union Hospital.
Through a grant agreement process with the Beverly Police Department,
HAWC is also able to provide services via a domestic violence
unit in the City of Beverly.
Each outreach office has access to shelter and a multitude of other
community agencies that offer a variety of assistance, can provide
safety planning, help obtain restraining orders, and provide
individual crisis counseling.
In establishing an outreach
role in each of the communities HAWC serves, advocates network with
existing services.
Innovative collaborations allow advocates to
provide community education on domestic violence, and increase the
visibility of services to battered women and their children. |
