HAWC's 30th Anniversary Celebration
On Saturday October 18, HAWC gathered at Ipswich Country Club with 250 supporters to celebrate the organization's 30th Anniversary. HAWC is the only full service domestic violence agency on the North Shore. In 1978, a few women from Salem gathered to talk about an issue that was rarely discussed in public - violence in the home. These courageous women wrote a grant and received the first funding for HAWC. At the celebration, Candace Waldron HAWC Executive Director honored five women who have played instrumental roles in HAWC's growth and development over the last 30 years.

The evening commenced with a moving address from First Lady Diane Patrick, who shared some startling statistics on domestic violence in the Commonwealth, as well as her own personal story facing domestic violence.
HAWC would like to thank our presenting sponsors for the evening, Kelly's Roast Beef and High Street Advisors. We would also like to thank all of our Table Sponsors and individuals who helped us celebrate this milestone event. Your support is greatly needed and deeply appreciated.
